I always chuckle when I see someone promote their business or opportunity or business model by saying “never chase your family or friends” or “no selling involved”. The people they are going to attract are those who have low self esteem, those who are not in the proper mindset for success.
I can tell you one thing, no one teaches in the industry of Network Marketing to chase down your family and friends.. This is an exageration that works because the truth is many have a fear to tell their family and friends that they are involved in a business model that can change their life forever…. But because they aren’t really sold on what they are a part of, or they have low belief in themselves, they never tell their family and friends…. They think about it but they never do and those that DO tell their family and friends, it comes with low belief and people PICK UP ON THAT.
Question: Why in the world would you get involved in something that you would not tell your family and friends about? Will it be for everyone? Of course not, and it shouldn’t be for everyone.
But if i believe in a product that works, it should be easier to share it with family and friends. And if you can’t, you should not be in business for yourself in any industry… Doesn’t matter if they buy or join, what matters is you gave them the opportunity to try great products or service and to learn about a great business model (IF THEY CHOOSE TO).
Now there are many distributors who try to find different ways to go back to the same family members that had no interest and give them the “line” they learned at a training webinar or from a MLM “guru”. This is annoying. But those who are in the right mindset will develop the proper skills to go back to those people later on and re introduce their solution to them. I can’t tell you how many stories i hear from people who are top income earners that said NO! to the person who introduced them to an MLM opportunity…… And today, they are living the dream and helping others do the same.
So before you join someone who is saying “it is not MLM” or “stop chasing family & friends” or “no selling involved”, make sure you know who you are joining…. Selling is one of the highest paid activity in the world. We all buy, we all promote, we all share on a daily basis…. Those who understand that the MLM industry is a vehicle to help someone not only to make residual income but to develop personally as they build the amazing MLM business model, will live rich….
If you are married, you had to “sell” your character, your vision, who you are in order for someone to “buy” into you. And if you said all the right things (marketing verbage) but acted the opposite, it most likely didn’t turn out so well. IN business, in this industry, it is the same…. If someone didn’t sell you car insurance or life insurance, or your house or apartment, you wouldn’t have these things.. Someone had to sell you your internet connection, your computer… If you buy, someone has to sell. The buying will happen regardless, why not from you..
This is why, WHO YOU JOIN in MLM is more IMPORTANT then WHAT YOU JOIN…
I can’t stress this enough! I cannot tell you how many people jump onto the hottest new company/product and join “leaders” who are flocking from one deal to another and after 2-3 years, they do it all over again… Is this the people that you want to learn from? Doesn’t matter how much money they are making or how many people they have recruited in the business.. I personally know someone who has recruited over 100 people and yet they make about $200 a month ONLY which covers their monthly autoship program.
So it isn’t about how many people you recruit, it isn’t about joining someone who claims they make lots of money (al capone made lots of money, con artists make lots of money), does’t matter if they drive a porshe or whatever, JOIN PEOPLE because you know what they have done in their past not just PROFESSIONALLY, but personally…….
The questions you should ask
*to those that are sharing the opportunity to you that nobody asks and yet they are shocked a year later are:
1. What is your goals and dreams in the next 5 years (if it is not vivid, clear and see them almost cry when they share it, DON’T BUY THEM)
2. What was your defining moment where you made a significant change in your life?
3. What have you accomplished in the last 5 years personally, professionally & financially?
4. What are your 2 favorite books you have read on self growth? How many times have you read them?
5. What is the most important thing you do for the new distributor that you enroll?
6. How can you help me build a business globally since i have no experience?
7. WHY SHOULD I JOIN YOU AND PARTNER UP WITH YOU?
These are just a few questions out of many that are not asked. It can be the difference between chasing success and attracting success. In the end, it is always about how much impact can you have on someone in achieving greatness…….
